Biman becomes first Bangladeshi airline to appoint female director

In a first for the Bangladeshi airline sector, Biman has appointed a female director.

Captain Tasmin Doza was announced as the Bangladeshi flag carrier’s new director of flight operations on Monday.

She previously held the role of chief of the training flight operations department at Biman.

Doza was also previously a pilot instructor for the Fokker-28 and the designated check pilot for the airline’s Boeing B737 aircraft.

She has flown nearly 13,000 hours as a pilot and co-pilot and nearly 3,000 hours as a trainer on the Fokker-28 and B737.
